Scanabull is being developed to provide an affordable, scalable alternative to traditional weighing options.  Delivering savings in equipment, infrastructure, mustering, labour and weight set backs.

Further savings come down to how the Scanabull weigh data is used to more optimally manage stock, movements, purchases and planning.

Quick.  Approximately one second to weigh an animal.

More acute camera angles may require two seconds whereas highly optimal camera angles can capture a weight in less than one second.

If you’re comfortable moving stock in a yard and you have a good understanding of how cattle move, the Scanabull Weigh App will be an easily adopted tool in your tool kit.

Scanabull estimates liveweight using 3D LiDAR vision tech similar to a camera, meaning cattle don’t need to be forced over physical scales.
Traditional scales require cattle to be yarded, stopped and handled, which takes time and adds stress. It also requires heavy expensive infrastructure. Scanabull is designed to work as cattle move naturally, allowing weights to be captured more frequently with less handling.
Scanabull isn’t intended to replace scales in every situation, but it can reduce how often you need to use them.
It’s a flexible, low-stress solution that works in real farm conditions.

No, the Scanabull weigh technology works well with moving animals.  Scanabull is being built for practical on-farm use, so animals do not need to be still.  As you can probably guess, the tech requires full site of the animal, it cannot be obscured by another animal or object.

Best results come from side angles within 45 degrees front and back and up and down – allowing flexibility in how the animals are moving and operator height.

Yes. Scanabull is being developed and tested across a range of cattle breeds and farm systems.
Our models are continuously improving as more data is collected during trials.

Scanabull aims to provide reliable weight estimates that support confident decision-making.

As a base comparison, traditional scales are considered to provide 95% accuracy due to the variation in environment, calibration and gut fill.

Scanabull is on track to exceed 95% with our leading data set and proprietary models.

Combine this high accuracy with the time, labour, infrastructure and stress savings and Scanabull is the leading choice for many farming operations.

Accuracy may vary depending on conditions such as animal posture, angle, lighting and how many seconds the camera can capture the animal.
